En A Movement of Unity Sparks Hope in Nicaragua
In the heart of Nicaragua, a light is growing through the unified purpose of pastors partnering with ShareWord Global through the Federation of Nicaraguan Evangelical Churches.
Pastors, youth, and entire communities are being transformed through the work of this God-led partnership, and the resources provided by partners right here at home are lighting a fire in these churches.
Pastor Lester, a passionate leader in the region, captured the spirit of this movement: “ShareWord Global resources are working. They are making evangelism easier for the pastors and the church—allowing us to reach many souls.”
His conviction is rooted in real change. Over the past year, his team shared the gospel at the local police academy, where the High Commissioner of Police in Masaya gave his life to Christ. Now transferred to a new district, the commissioner has invited pastors to continue the mission there, saying he’s seen “the change in his life and that of his officers.”
Another example of the truly inspiring impact this partnership is having comes from Pastor Henry Lopez, who leads churches in Nicaragua’s Masaya Department.
The churches there used to rely on small black-and-white tracts they produced themselves to aid in their evangelism efforts—until ShareWord stepped in.
“When ShareWord offered the beautiful, high-quality magazines FOR FREE, this was too good to be true!” he said. And thanks to the relational evangelism training offered as part of the partnership, Pastor Lopez’s church was able to reach out to 1,700 children in a single day, visiting 43 classrooms with the gospel and Spark magazines in hand.
The unity among churches is growing. Pastors Eduardo, Luis, and José—leaders from outside the Federation’s network—were invited by Pastor Lopez to join ShareWord Global’s Global Church program. “This invitation shows the unity and camaraderie that is happening between various churches and denominations,” Pastor Lopez said.
And these are just a few examples of how churches have been able to transform their communities with the gospel, thanks to the training and resources provided through this partnership.
