Paused at the Crossroads
Your 20s often feel like standing at a crossroads. Every decision seems weighty: where to live, what career to pursue, and what kind of life to build. For 25-year-old Talita from São Paulo, Brazil, that crossroads was real. She found herself torn between two futures: continuing in ministry or stepping into a corporate role.
Talita has been part of the Christian faith since infancy, growing up in Alphaville Presbyterian Church. Over the years she became deeply involved—serving on missions, volunteering in her church, and most recently, helping organize the support team during the ShareWord Global Fill the Gap conference.
She expected to give. Instead, she found herself receiving.
“Even after 25 years in the church,” Talita said, “it was amazing to learn about the tools during the training. God has been moving people who, out of nowhere, start asking about Jesus, and that has deeply moved me.”
Her words came from experience. During this personal season of uncertainty, she was approached—not once, but three times—by people who confided in her about their spiritual struggles. It was as if God was gently reminding her that ministry isn’t confined to pulpits or programs. It can happen anywhere, in the most ordinary conversations.
Talita began to see her life differently. “It’s been such a privilege to experience moments that are so simple, yet so full of the Lord’s grace,” she reflected.
At the end of the conference, her heart was stirred to ask for more. “Please, do more training events like this,” she said. “There are so many people in need of this kind of preparation and awakening.”
Talita’s story is a reminder that God is always moving, in seasons of clarity and in seasons of uncertainty. With the right tools and an open heart, ordinary moments can become extraordinary encounters with His grace.
